In recent years, human greenhouse gas emissions contribute to global warming, and this phenomenon is getting worse. In order to slow down the phenomenon of global warming and reduce the emission of greenhouse gases, after numerous international conferences, some developed countries have introduced carbon labeling system. The concept comes from talking about "food miles" in the UK in the 1990s. Scholars agree that food transportation has a significant impact on global climate change.
Carbon labels are a way to label greenhouse gas emissions during the life cycle of a product. It can make consumers intuitively obtain the information of the carbon footprint of products and effectively
enable people to make low-carbon shopping.
However, carbon labels in the world are only used in major developed countries, and the design of carbon labels does not have much warning effect on consumers. I think by combining the carbon label with the product packaging, it can serve as a visual warning to consumers, so as to directly guide consumers'purchasing behavior to a certain extent. In the promotion of carbon labels and at the same time to effectively promote the concept of carbon footprint.
When I first designed the logo, I thought of many ways to combine them. Go combines with forbidden symbols, go with green leaves, and go with the Chinese character zero. Later, it was found that go and zero could be designed in the form of three circles. Finally, the final draft was determined after resizing.
