Introduction
With the development of society, female are now playing an increasingly important role in modern society. But now we live in a patriarchal society, which makes women's abilities can't be fully exerted, which isn't conducive to the development of society. At the same time, for women themselves, the patriarchal society isn't conducive to their own development. For example, now there's a shortage of female role models and the standard of success is also set by men. These make many girls confused about the value of life.
So I developed Fview. Fview is an organization which encourage Chinese young girls to find their own direction by spreading the stories of Chinese female role modles. Fview will spread the stories and thoughts of the great women through monthly magazines. Anyone interested in Fview can join us for only 38 yuan as a membership fee a month and get a magazine and a notebook every month. In principle, each member should keep a record of his or her thoughts and develop a plan for self-improvement. That’s why the member will also get a notebook every month.
Reaserch of Chinese Feminism
The rise of female organizations in China coincided with that in the west, but feminism in China developed slowly due to some special national conditions. The first wave of feminism in the West took place at the beginning of the 20th century. At that time, western women fought for the voting right. During this period, some female organizations, such as Chinese Women's Society, also emerged in China. But the main goal of female organizations at that time was still to fight for national independence rather than women's rights. In the 1960s, the second wave of feminist movement emerged in the West, mainly to fight for gender equality in the political and economic fields. In 1949, after the founding of the People's Republic of China, a new feminist thought was born in China. But female organizations in China, such as the women's federation, were more concerned with linking women's power to economic development than women themselves. It can be seen that China's feminist movement has always had a strong political color.
In 1995, the World Women Conference was held in Beijing. After this meeting, more female organizations emerged, such as The Maple Women's Psychological Counseling Center, which provides Psychological Counseling for Women. But China's feminist ideology still lacks a clear and feasible goal. Many scholars tried to introduce western feminist thoughts, but the results were not satisfactory because they weren’t in conformity with Chinese conditions. Even today, though feminism is becoming more and more popular, there’s still no set of feminism theory suitable for China. Many people unilaterally understand feminism as women and men contribute equally to society or women dominate men.
I founded Fview, hoping to help women grow up and find their own path, and maybe one day we can find a way to achieve gender equality in China.
